Here's what Christie had to say about her tutorial:   Do your kids have a bunk bed? Do they ever drape a million blankets over the top to make a fort and have a million items trying to hold it up so you are left with a big mess after they build that fort? Do they get really frustrated when their fort keeps falling down or gets pulled down by little siblings?

Yes, yes, and yes HERE! When you are done making this easy bunk bed fort, you just might get a million hugs and kisses and your kiddos telling you that you’re the best mom in the world. I have sweet kids.

Here's what Christie had to say about her tutorial:  My son D turned 5 last week. He requested an Alien Party! I had a lot of fun planning his party, and I decided I'd share some of the things I did in case it could help anyone else in their party planning.

This post will show you how to make some Alien Invitations, complete with downloadable templates. Please know that I just free-handed it, so the aliens aren't perfect!

It all started with this little sketch. D said he thought it was cute, so that's what we went with.

Boys Bike Basket and Girls Vintage Bike Basket Free Tutorials From Christie of A Lemon Squeezy Home

Have you ever wanted to create fabric baskets for your kid's bikes? Well, Christie of Lemon Squeezy Shop and A Lemon Squeezy Home blog has two wonderful tutorials on her blog showing you how to make a bike basket for a boy's bike and a vintage bike basket for a girl's bike. Enjoy!

Copyright © 2010 - Written by Christie of A Lemon Squeezy Home blog.

Here's what Christie had to say about her tutorial:   I made my first fabric bike basket in March of this year, for my son's 5th birthday.  I didn’t want to pay the $15.00 for one and was excited when I thought I could probably just make one with fabric. He loved it.  It was used well and can actually fit quite a bit in it.  I also knew that the design could be improved some.  Sadly, it was rained on and blown on with dusty wind and doesn't look very good anymore.  I will be better this time at having him bring in his new basket!  (look at the beautiful dead March grass in the pic)

Here's what Christie had to say about her tutorial:  Remember my son's Bike Basket I made? You can see that version by clicking here: D's Bike Basket Tutorial.    I remember finishing his, and thinking how pretty it could be for a girl with a few changes. So I re-designed the entire thing to fit an adult vintage style bike. *This basket actually fits my son's child size bike, so it doesn't even have to be only for an adult bike!

Blackboard Menu Tutorial

Here's what Melissa had to say about her tutorial:  Many of my kitchen projects are still works in progress, but I did manage to finish this mini project for a blackboard menu.

I made this for my weekly dinner menus. I want to start eating healthy, so I figure if I physically see what I am supposed to eat during the week maybe I'll actually eat it! As you can see there are no menus on there yet, not looking good. Maybe next week. :) Want to make a blackboard menu of your own? It is really simple, and pretty cheap, especially if you have some of the craft materials already.

Here's what Dawn had to say about her tutorials: Since we just moved into a new house, we have been very busy with renovation projects and decorating.   I have searched high and low for pretty art to use on the walls, and have come up short in a few rooms.   A lot of the affordable art that is in the stores is either boring or looks too generic.   So I decided that I would use something I already love working with, fabric,  to decorate in a unique and fun way.

Mr. Mom "Woobie" Blanket Free Tutorial by Melissa of Crafting With Cat Hair Blog

Here's what Melissa had to say about her tutorial:  One of my favorite movies from the '80s is Mr. Mom. I just love Michael Keaton!

There are so many hilarious scenes in this movie, but the one that stands out to me is the scene when the vacuum cleaner attacks the kids and eats the one kid's blanket, or his woobie.

I am sure you have seen this pattern before, but here it is again. You can use this super simple, no sew pattern to make your very own woobie for your child or, like I did, your pet!

Easy Pet Bed

Here's what SewDelish had to say about their tutorial:  This is a perfect little bed for a new puppy or kitten and also for little toy dogs who love a little bit of comfort.  This quick and easy pet bed is made using an old pillow that has been cleaned. A new one of course be used, but I wanted to use a pillow that was still ok but had gone too flat for my liking.Pillows get replaced reasonably regularly in our house, so this is a good way to make good use of them once we don't sleep on them anymore.  These were made for my little chihuahua who is 12 years old and would sleep on my own pillow all day if given the opportunity!

Here's what Colleen had to say about her tutorial: Once upon a time, I was given some coasters. They were glass with photos in them and they were good. But then time passed and they got manky. I did nothing about it. They got even more manky. I still did nothing about it. But then I was sitting on the Tube (the "subway", to those not of a British bent) and saw a lady wearing an interesting jacket and it inspired me to make new coasters. No, the jacket was not made of beer mats - don't get cheeky.

Lampshade Beautification Effort Free Tutorial By Melissa of Haworth Handmade

Ever thought of decorating one of your plain lampshades? Well, if you have then you'll be happy to know that Melissa of Haworth Handmade has a wonderful tutorial on her Under Construction blog showing you how to make a beautiful lampshade.

Lampshade beautification effort

Here's what Melissa had to say about her tutorial:  The talented and generous Missy Ballance of Mohair Circus gave me a basket full of "cutter quilt" scraps (several months ago). Even though they were already cut, I had the HARDEST time cutting them again and spent ages trying to decide on the "perfect" project. (these quilt scraps are HAND pieces and HAND quilted with the most meticulous little stitches you can imagine).

Last weekend I took the plunge and cut into several of the smallest and most worn out pieces to make over a cheap-o lamp that has been sitting, unplugged in our bedroom for MONTHS while I used an ugly, plastic clip lamp for bedtime reading.

I must say, I am pleased with the results, rustic, unfinished edges and all. Biscuit immediately declared it "pretty" so we'll call it a success.
