Here's what Christie had to say about her tutorial:  My son D turned 5 last week. He requested an Alien Party! I had a lot of fun planning his party, and I decided I'd share some of the things I did in case it could help anyone else in their party planning. 

This post will show you how to make some Alien Invitations, complete with downloadable templates. Please know that I just free-handed it, so the aliens aren't perfect!

It all started with this little sketch. D said he thought it was cute, so that's what we went with.

Here's what SewDelish had to say about their tutorial:  I have been chocolate making again and I had some melted chocolate left over. I poured it into a large chocolate bar mold. After it had set I remembered about some chocolate bars we made for gifts last year, so I decided to share with you the process. If you are not up to melting chocolate or can't find a mold, then you can use a purchased bar of chocolate and decorate that.

These are so all the rage right now, but quite pricey for the real deal, I thought it would be fun to create a project that simulated the motif, and then use it on some kitchen towels. I also made some matching placemats as well.
