I just love all sorts of doll crafts and I love the cloth doll pencil topper e-pattern that Colleen Babcock of The Magic Bean blog has on her The Magic Bean blog. Enjoy!

Here's what Colleen had to say about her e-pattern: One of the traditions in my family is to fill stockings for everybody - even the adults. My Grandma Joan used to do stockings for each person in our family (which was quite a few!) and my brother would put on his Santa beard and hand them out on Christmas Eve. Now my mum does them and my dad (aka The Christmas Elf) and I handle Mum's. Sometimes though, it's hard to find tiny things to put in those little stockings.

Here is something that will fit just perfectly - Cloth Doll Pencil Toppers, a Colleen Babcock original design I might add.

Colleen's Bio - Colleen is a cloth doll designer and teacher. Originally from Canada, Colleen has a degree in Theatre Design & Production from York University in Toronto. Now living in London, England, Colleen enjoys putting her knowledge of historical costume into many of her designs. Colleen teaches cloth doll making both online and in person and has enjoyed recent trips to teach in North America and well as teaching in the UK. Colleen has contributed a doll to Patti Medaris Culea’s book Creative Cloth Doll Beading as well as Barbara Willis’ recently published book Cloth Doll Artistry. Colleen has also had dolls featured in Soft Dolls and Animals, Doll Crafter and Costuming, and Art Doll Quarterly magazines. Colleen has had dolls exhibited at the Knitting & Stitching Show in London and at the National Needlework Archive in Newbury, Berkshire. Colleen loves producing & selling doll patterns so that others can enjoy making their own cloth dolls.

Colleen’s particular interest is in making dolls that have a practical purpose as well as decorative one. Oh and she has an un-natural love of alfafa sprouts, loves Elmo, her husband and her parents and friends, but that goes without saying (Ok, well, maybe not the alfafa sprouts bit).
