Facial Transference Free Tutorial From Brenda Greenwalt of Lillie Mae's Crafts

Love making cloth dolls, but need a little help with the faces. If you do, then you'll be happy to know that Brenda Greenwalt has created a free tutorial on her Lillie Mae's Crafts website to show you how to transfer a doll face.  Enjoy!

Copyright © 2010 - Written By Brenda Greenwalt of Lillie Mae's Crafts.

Here's what Brenda had to say about her tutorial: When I first started creating my Annie dolls, the face was always a part I dreaded doing. I would put it off until every part of the Annie was complete and I had no choice but to finish her by creating her facial features. However, that's when she truly takes shape and when her "character" and "personality" start to emerge. Therefore, it's extremely important to get it right.

I consequently then created a method of creating an Annie's facial features that made creating her face so much simpler that now I can't wait to get to this point in the creating process. This tutorial will help guide you through my own method with step-by-step instructions complete with pictures for each step.

Making Your Own Pattern Part 1 and Part 2 Free Tutorial By Daphna of Creative Cutie Blog

Have you always wanted to design your own handbag, but don't know how to create a pattern for it? If you have then you'll be happy to know that  Daphna of Creative Cutie blog has a wonderful tutorial on her blog showing you how to make your own pattern.

Making Your Own Pattern - Part 1
Patterns - Part 2

Copyright © 2009-2010 - Written by Creative Cutie blog.

Here's what Daphna had to say about her tutorial: So this is the situation. I see people around looking for patterns for bags, meaning someone else's patterns. And people keep asking me where I get my patterns from. I always tell them I use my own, I made them by myself. I don't like doing something that someone else did, even if I credit them. This is just not me. Then I ask myself, why people use already made patterns that someone did, why can't they do their own? Well, the answer for this would be, very simple, they don't know how.

Now I gotta admit, I'm not sure if the way I make my patterns is the ordinary way. But this is my way of work, you will see. In this post, which is a very important post, I want to teach you a bit about how to make your own patterns, the way I do it, so you will learn how to make them by yourself, and therefore invent your special designs. Some secrets, some tips. Wanna? Keep reading then.

Please respect Daphna's TERMS OF USE:   Please don't copy, steal, use any of my pictures, information, designs, ideas, etc. without my permission. Thank you!

Madonna Pearl Bracelet Free Tutorial Melissa of Crafting With Cat Hair Blog

Have you ever seen an idol wear something you'd like to make?  Well, Melissa of  Crafting With Cat Hair blog did and she has a wonderful tutorial on her blog showing you how to make Madonna's pearl bracelet.

Madonna pearl bracelet tutorial

Copyright © 2009 - Written by Melissa of Crafting With Cat Hair blog.

Here's what Melissa had to say about her tutorial:  By now you have probably realized that I was obsessed with Madonna, as I think almost every girl was in the '80s. She was so amazing with her songs, videos, and clothing styles, and set the standard for all of the other female singers in the '80s and later.

Madonna had so many of her clothing styles copied by girls of all ages from her mesh shirts to her platinum blonde hair, but one of my favorites were her pearl bracelets that she wore over her lacy, fingerless gloves.

She was so cool!  Here is a super simple tutorial to make your very own Madonna pearl bracelet.

Please respect Melissa's TERMS OF USE:  No part of my patterns or tutorials may be reproduced in any form. The written instructions, photograph, design, and pattern and tutorial are intended for personal, non-commercial use only and can not be sold for profit. Thanks!
